Death of a True Inspiration
This morning on Twitter (powerfully, first on my iPad) I learnt that Steve Jobs had lost his battle with Pancreatic Cancer and it came as quite a shock.
He’s been responsible for so many truly amazing inventions including the iPhone and iPad. He’s responsible for sparking the true start of the Digital Music industry, before iTunes it was a false start. He’s also responsible for some truly amazing computers and operating systems. His drive, passion and focus enabled products to be released which nobody could come close too.
Lets not forget Pixar aswell, which he bought and revolutionized in the late 80s and where since responsible for films such as Toy Story, A Bugs Life, The Incredibles, Monsters Inc, Finding Nemo and Wall-E amongst others.
I’ve put a few quotes below, from other influential people as they pay their respects to the late Steve Jobs.
Barack Obama: “He transformed our lives, redefined entire industries, and achieved one of the rarest feats in human history: He changed the way each of us sees the world.”
Mark Zuckerberg: “Steve, thank you for being a mentor and a friend. Thanks for showing that what you build can change the world. I will miss you.”
Bill Gates: “The world rarely sees someone who has had the profound impact Steve has had, the effects of which will be felt for many generations to come.”
Lord Sugar: “Gutted Steve Jobs died. We started our computer biz at same time and were competitors through the 80s.Great visionary. Sadly missed. RIP”
Steven Spielberg: “Steve Jobs was the greatest inventor since Thomas Edison. He put the world at our fingertips.”
Rest in Peace, Steve Jobs
