Ownership
It’s time for a non geek post. This only happens when something interesting or new has happened in my life.
So first off the Mortgage has finally gone through and me and my fiance are now home owners. It was a bit of a strange feeling as we’d already been living in the house so there was no moving to do or keys to collect. There was also no furniture to buy or decorating to do. Bit of an anti-climax but it’s one less thing to think about now.
We do plan to make our mark on the house by painting a few of the rooms, next project for me is to lay some foundations and get a shed put up. I’ve found a place who do a shed big enough and of a good enough quality construction, they will also deliver and erect the shed which saves me a job.
Once I have the shed in place I can build my racking and Workshop in there and skip all the rubbish in the Garage. Once the Garage is an empty shell I’ll be able to start redoing the electrics to get rid of the strip lighting and then insulate and plasterboard it. It’s destiny is to become my Music Studio, it’s of a good enough construction, has big thick wooden doors and is separate from the house.
The other thing I wanted to blog about is my Stag Do. We went to Tattershall Lakes Country Park with a mixture of work colleagues and mates from outside of work. The Do mainly consisted of Drinking lots. I threw myself in the Lake though as it had got to 2am and no-one else had done it for me. I protested that there had been no Stripper and nobody had thrown me in the lake, but to be fair I wouldn’t of enjoyed either of those things (I guess this is the point though)
We went go-karting on the Sunday and it was in Pro-karts with Slick tyres, only problem is it was absolutely throwing it down with Rain. I was using a dry line and had very slippy front tyres, I just couldn’t keep on anyone without spinning out. The hangover certainly didn’t help though.
The quickest man on the Track was Jody, I think his mixture of Racing karts and entering Drift Competitions in his D-Spec Skyline probably helped this.
The wedding is close now, we are almost into Double Figures in June and the Wedding is in August. Everything is set.
