I’ve just got back from my holiday in Ibiza – No photos yet, reasonably long story which I will get to (infact, short version – I dropped it in Play 2 in the West End a few nights in so I have half a holiday’s worth of photos)
We flew out last friday and arrived back today and stayed at a Friend of Jody’s for the entire time, for free. We bought him a meal mind and paid for some petrol, it was only fair.
As soon as we got off the plane we dropped the bags off at rosses, got out our Euros and went into Es Cana for a few drinks.
Sunday night Jody DJd at Cafe es paradis which is the Pre-Bar attached to the side of Es Paradis. It was a good set and everybody in there was dancing for the 3 hours he was playing. It was good to see so many Drum and Bass Fans had come along.
Terry (the owner) was sorting us out with some free drinks although I bought 5 cans of redbull through out the night to have with every drink, just to keep me going as I was still shattered from Saturday night.
We went to the Tompson 4-star hotel pool every day for a couple of hours and bought a couple of drinks to repay the favour. That was a good chill out at the end of the day before getting ready and going for dinner.
Day times consisted of Beach going, we hired a car for the weeks so it was possible to cover 870km by going to different beaches, etc. We hired a powered dingy and did some go-karting aswell so it wasn’t all lounging and then drinking.
On the car note we did some good cruising about in our little ford Ka listening to “Ibiza Global Radio” which was pumping out some absolute bangers.
We had a few chilled out nights going to the bars/ clubs in Es Cana but went to Es Paradis on Wednesday (free, courtesy of Terry)
We planned to go to See Armin Van Buuren on Tuesday at Amnesia but got to burned out in the day, we did the same on Thursday with David Guetta at Pacha, mindu we both had colds then aswell. In all we didn’t go to many big nights but managed to top it off with a decent on on Friday night. We went to the west end of san antonio for lots of 2 for 1 with a free shot deals then about 2am went into Eden (Vip… Courtesy of Terry)
Pete Tong was playing but soon after we arrived he passed over to Timo Maas. We saw Pete on the steps to the VIP area and had a brief word, he looked really shattered so I said “I will let you get on, as, you look knackered.” – Claim to fame, not so exciting I guess. It was a great night got a decent stomp on. We stumbled across the veranda over looking the Lighting and FX desk, I was rather impressed! It’s all touch screen, loads of TFT screens, on screen displays of what the lights are doing, etc. Very 21st century and very expensive. (Oh well at €15 for a beer, they can afford it)
I’ll get some photos and videos up when I can get my mitts on a SD Card Reader.
