Holiday in Lanzarote

I´m currently on holiday in Lanzarote with Sarah. We flew out on Sunday and the weather has been really good. We are staying at the Ficus apartments in Costa Teguise and we don´t have anything to complain about. The food is great and the rooms are nice.

We went to the Timanfya national Park on Tuesday for Sarah´s Birthday and we rode on Camels which was fun but bumpy.

We took a bus to Puerto Del Carmen on Wednesday as we lost our ticket for a free excursion. It was great there though, we walked right from one end to the other occasionally stopping in souvenier shops.

We had a nice Sit down with a San Miguel before catching a bus back to Costa Teguise.

Yesterday was a day of Relaxation, we had breakfast then lay by the pool for about 4 hours. Then we had a bit of a swim and chilled on our Balcony.

It´s going to be similar today but we are going to have a walk across the sea front a little later on.

I bought a Samsung HD Video Camera at the airport, it was right bargain (cheaper than you will think Dad!) as it just does 720p (which is all my Tele does and looks awesome enough on Rambo). We´ve taken lots of videos of our travels and lots of photos on my Digital Camera so, combined, should make a good Hi-Def holiday video.´

We´re missing our little reptile dudes and dudettes but know they are in capable, caring hands. My mum says Tilly really enjoys coming out for cuddles but scratched her chest (she does get excitable and flail her arms about… Tilly that is, not my mum)

We fly back on Sunday and I have the monday off work so it should be nice, to just unwind and catchup with English life again.

It´ll be a shame to leave the island though as we are both really enjoying it.

Holidays

I was talking to my sister on Facebook chat the weekend before last, she said she was going on Holiday to Lanzarote with her boyfriend in March. I turned round and said to Sarah it would be nice to go to the Canary Islands soon and have a holiday togather. We both got excited and started looking online and in brochures. Last weekend we booked a stay at Lanzarote in Hotel Ficus which is only 25 minutes from the airport so hopefully first off/ last on. We are going towards the end of April and we will be away over Sarah’s birthday so that will be nice.

I went to feed Mylo last night as I was staying at Sarahs. He was being grumpy underneath a log so I moved his log and he gave me the look of Death. Suddenly he saw I had a tub of Locust, he got up and looked interested. I shook the tub in front of him and he went for the (closed) tub. I pulled the tub out so I could open it and he jumped out after it. I let him eat one out the tub. Then he crawled up onto Sarah’s leg (as we were both sat down by the Vivarium). I put another locust on Sarah’s trousers and tapped it to get his attention. He went for it with such accuracy, power and speed that he knocked himself off onto the floor. Then he decided to go for a little run around my room, giving a cheeky look around every few feet.

After 20 minutes of letting him have his way we opened the vivarium door and he jumped back in. That is what I call a clever little beardie. I’m going to see if I can get him to do it again and video it. We managed to video him eating the locust off Sarah’s Leg, falling off then running into the side of a clear tub, looking Dazed and then scuttling off behind his vivarium. It’s a big, heavy vivarium and it would be hard to get him out so I’m glad he ran out by himself.

I’m involved in a Virtualization project at work at the moment, I’m working round our servers at the datacentre converting them to virtual servers, using a piggy in the middle technique to then flatten the physical hardware and add it as a node to our cluster.

Bank Holiday Weekend

I am ready for this weekend after this week. It’s finally here. Mine and Dave’s plans for lager abuse can finally come true.

Tonight at the Ranger. Tommorow morning consists of hair cut, clothes shopping and money converting. Afternoon consists of having an all dayer. Sunday – unsure, probably a few pints. Monday is the day for recovery.

I love bank holidays.
