About Me

My Name is Rob Butterworth.

I lived the first 8 years of my life in Alloway, Ayrshire, Scotland. I’m not scottish though, I was born in Edwinstowe which isn’t too far from where I live now, in Ravenshead.

I went to Junior school at Martin Roe C of E School in the mid 90s, I started a Colonel Frank Seely Secondary School in 1998.

I left the world of Academia in 2003 when I passed my first MCP Exam and started work at Equation Training Ltd. They went bust in 2004 which is when I started working for PC Service Call (The Tech Guys). I moved from there to PC World Mansfield, this is when I got my Xbox 360.

I worked for the Dixons Group for about 2 years, then I went to ‘No Joy in IT’ – That lasted 2 months and decided No. I joined Custard Technical Services, and now I’ve been there over a year, I think I’ll be there for a long time because everybody is on my wavelength. Plus they give me a Civic Type-R as a company car!!!

My Forte? Computers! From preparing laptops to Installing cutting edge servers and their very own failover solution.

Out of work I’m into Modified and Performance cars and tend to go to shows such as The Donny Show, Modified Nationals and Ultimate Street Car. I run a website jdmlife, which I only started a couple of months ago with my mates Mark and Tiernan. I’m also into DJ-ing for we are DeeJays. I play Drum and Bass, Electro House and have lots of Classic Trance from 98 to 2001.
